This 1939 Mercury Eight two-door sedan coupe was rebuilt and customized between 2003 and the mid 2010s, during which the roof was chopped and the body was nosed, decked, and smoothed before it was painted a custom blue.
The frame was boxed, and a Fat Man Mustang II-style independent suspension was installed up front along with a Ford 8″ rear end with parallel leaf springs.
Disc brakes were added, and a Buick 401 Nailhead V8 was retrofitted along with a TH400 automatic transmission.
The interior was redone and features two-tone upholstery, a tilt column, an Impala steering wheel, VDO gauges, and Vintage Air climate control.
Following completion of the build, the car won several awards, including at Goodguys and NSRA events.
