The car was purchased by the seller in 2008 and was restored and modified between 2015 and 2017 at The Werk Shop in Libertyville, Illinois.

Work included rebuilding the 2.8-liter inline-six and retrofitting it with dual Weber carburetors in addition to repainting the exterior in Baikal Metallic and adding upgraded suspension components.

The reupholstered interior is appointed with air conditioning, a period-style wood-trimmed steering wheel, and a modern audio system with Bluetooth.
