This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was built into a race car, reportedly circa 1972 at Baird & Trivette in Buford, Georgia, and has been driven in SCCA vintage racing events following a refurbishment by race car driver Gene Felton in the late 1980s.
A replacement 427ci V8 was installed following the seller’s acquisition , and work involved fitting an Edelbrock intake manifold and a COMP Cams camshaft as well as resizing the rods, boring the cylinders, and replacing the crankshaft, pistons, and bearings.
Shifting is through a G-Force GF4A four-speed manual gearbox and a Mark Williams rear end, and the clutch was also replaced under current ownership.
