A replacement four-speed manual transmission with overdrive was subsequently installed, and the 2.9-liter inline-six was rebuilt and altered with a 12-volt battery, a spin-on oil filter adapter, an aluminum radiator, and a stainless steel exhaust system.

The cabin was refreshed with a MOMO steering wheel and replacement seat upholstery and foam, and additional work under current ownership included replacing the 15″ wire wheels, installing anti-sway bars, and servicing the front disc and rear drum brakes.
