Condition

7

The car is described as having received a refurbishment in the early 2000s and fluid services were performed in preparation for the sale, suggesting it's been maintained. However, the presence of a replacement engine (440ci Chrysler RB V8) and the age of the car indicate it's not in pristine condition. The listing mentions it spent time on display at a museum, implying it was well-kept during that period. The interior is trimmed in leather and features like power windows and a town-and-country radio suggest good care.

This 1957 Dual-Ghia is the 50th of approximately 115 convertible examples produced in collaboration between Italian coachbuilder Ghia and Dual Motors Corporation of Detroit, Michigan.

Chassis 150 is believed to have been purchased new by Frank Sinatra’s production company and then reportedly gifted to Sinatra’s wife Ava Gardner.

The car was later utilized in the filming of the 1992 CBS miniseries before spending time on display at the Petersen Automotive Museum, and it is said to have received a refurbishment circa the early 2000s.

Finished in dark blue, the car is powered by a replacement 440ci Chrysler RB V8 that breathes through dual Weber four-barrel carburetors and is mated to an automatic transmission.
