This 1973 Ferrari Dino 246 GTS is one of approximately 2,900 E-series examples produced through July 1974 and was delivered new to Modern Classic Motors in Reno, Nevada.

Chassis 05978 was subsequently refurbished and modified as part of a build initiated in the 1980s.

Finished in red with a black tail panel and lower accents, the car features metal wheel-arch flares and rides on 16″ NTM “coffin spoke” alloy wheels coupled with QA1 adjustable coilovers at all four corners.

Power is from a 2.4-liter Tipo 135CS V6 that breathes through triple Weber 44 IDF carburetors as well as 24-valve cylinder heads that were reportedly sourced from the Lancia Stratos racing program.
