This 1928 Rolls-Royce Phantom is one of approximately 1,244 examples built on the 40/50 New Phantom platform at the company’s American factory in Springfield, Massachusetts, between 1925 and 1931.

Chassis S103RP is said to have been delivered new to a Massachusetts owner in April 1928 with a Brewster Lonsdale limousine body, which was later replaced with a Merrimac Pall Mall touring body from another chassis by a marque restorer in the 1950s.

The car was purchased in the late 1970s by an Ohio collector who undertook a cosmetic refurbishment over the ensuing decade that included a repaint in silver and maroon and a re-trim of the interior in red leather.
