The car was purchased by its current owner in 1999 and subsequently driven from Pennsylvania to San Francisco.

The 346ci V8 was reportedly rebuilt following the completion of the 2004 CCCA Alaska CARavan, with paintwork and chrome refurbishment also performed during the ensuing years.
