In the mid-1970s, chassis 12891 was imported to the US, where it was converted into Spider configuration by Mike Sheehan’s European Auto Restoration of Costa Mesa, California, between 1978 and 1979.
The car was then sold to soap opera producer Paul Rauch before spending 28 years with a Missouri owner who purchased it in 1984.
