This 1954 Allard J2X is said to be one of nine cars from the manufacturer imported to Canada when new and is the only example of the J2X model sold new in the country.

Chassis 3209 is said to have left the factory on May 15, 1953, for delivery to Canadian importer Budd & Dyer in Montreal before being purchased new by a Quebec resident who in turn sold it to a Toronto restauranteur who drove it in the 1955 Canadian National Exhibition.

The car appeared in various racing events through the late 1950s with its next owner and after another change of hands was purchased in 1962 by an Ontario owner who retained it for over 50 years.
