This 1955 Austin-Healey 100 BN1 was acquired in California as a project in 1990 by Ken Deringer, an engineer and fabricator who was an early employee of Dan Gurney’s racing team All American Racers.
Deringer refurbished the car over the next dozen years with work that saw the body removed from the frame and modified before being refinished in black, the black interior redone, the chassis reinforced, and a Buick 215ci V8 installed along with a Borg-Warner five-speed manual transmission.
