The car was acquired in 2016 by the current owner as a disassembled project, and a body-off refurbishment was subsequently performed by Collector Car Garage of Rancho Cordova, California.

Work included rebuilding the 1,250cc XPAG inline-four, overhauling the fuel system, reupholstering the interior in tan leather, refurbishing structural wood supports, installing a black soft top, repainting the car in dark green, and replacing the clutch assembly and suspension components.
