This 1986 Ralt RT5 started life as a VW-powered Formula Super Vee car and was subsequently updated with RT5 bodywork and Mazda rotary 13B power.

The seller says the car is in excellent mechanical and structural condition, though no logbooks are included and its early race history is unknown.

It has more recently competed in vintage racing with SVRA and in the CSR class in SCCA.

It belonged to veteran racer Jack Ruscilli in the early 2000s, and research turns up a of what’s believed to be the same car idling in the pits at Mid Ohio in 2008, as well as an which shows that it set the day’s fastest lap (1:28:951) on the way to finishing fifth in a field of 28 cars.
