Tracing its lineage back to the iconic 1966 Duetto of The Graduate fame, the Series 4 successfully modernised a classic 1960s chassis for a new decade.

Pininfarina returned to refresh the styling, giving the Spider a much cleaner, more cohesive aesthetic than the previous model.

Gone were the prominent black plastic spoilers and bulky rubber bumpers of the Series 3, replaced by sleek, colour-matched front and rear bumpers, full-width tail lights integrated across the rear panel, power-adjustable side mirrors and chic minimalist bodywork that paid homage to the original classic Sixties lines.
