AI Listing Summary

This 1989 Fiat Panda 4x4 Mk1, a Giugiaro-designed minimalist classic, presents a unique opportunity to own a cult favorite. While showing 101,981 miles and some wear consistent with its age, including interior imperfections and limited recent use, it benefits from a recent MOT and solid mechanicals, making it an appealing project for an enthusiast.

Condition

6

The car is described as 'rock solid' with a 'tidy and highly original interior'. However, there are noted faults such as a split on the driver’s seat and a tear in the roof lining. The tyres were noted as worn/cracking in a recent MOT, though they may have been replaced. There's a gap in the service history, and while the car runs well, it seeks a new owner who can provide more regular exercise, suggesting it needs some attention. This points to a 'Good' condition rating.

The 4x4 version came out in 1984, with a simple, selectable four-wheel drive system developed by the Austrian firm Steyr-Puch.

Front-wheel drive in normal mode, the driver engaged the rear wheels manually via a lever behind the gearstick.

Initially powered by a 48bhp 965cc engine, it was upgraded to the 999cc FIRE engine in 1986.
