Description Only 28,200 miles with excellent service history; fabulous condition; nice MGC number plate; cost nearly £100k new; forced sale due to illness; majestic sound track! A masterclass in Italian elegance, the Pininfarina-styled Maserati GranCabrio came out in 2010 as a drop-top version of the GranTurismo S Automatic Coupe.

The first convertible Maserati with proper seating for four, it was powered by the same fabulous Ferrari-built naturally-aspirated 4.7 V8 producing 434bhp and 490Nm of torque.

Driving through Ferrari's paddle-shift six-speed automated manual transmission, it could sprint to 60mph in 4.9 seconds with a top speed of 183mph.

The thing that will attract attention above all else is the thrilling operatic exhaust note which the driver can enjoy in all its majesty when the electric triple-layer canvas roof is down.

Costing almost £100k new, around 11,715 GranCabrios were sold before it was replaced by a slightly revised S version in 2011.
