The original bill of sale for this lovely Magnette forms part of a very substantial history file.
It was sold to Dr Stokes of Sherborne in Dorset in April 1957 by his local Nuffield Dealer who dealt in Morris, MG, Wolseley and Riley motorcars.
Sticklands Garages charged £1,062.7shillings, although this was reduced by £200 for his trade-in Vauxhall 14.
The original Buff Logbook lists just one owner, Dr Stokes, the car changing hands in 1991 for the first time having spent most of its life tucked away in the good Doctor's garage.
At this point, it passed to a relative in Hampshire.
Its third owner bought the car in 1995 from her, embarking on a ground-up restoration, although the bodywork remained in remarkably sound order.
