These later Austins incorporated all sorts of improvements over the earlier models, including much better brakes, a side-draft carburettor and trafficators (working in this case) - they even got synchromesh on second and third speeds of the four-speed gearbox.

Its history picks up in the late '70s when it was comprehensively restored by Wildae Restorations in Devon, work which was completed in 1983 when it was registered for the road.

The V5C shows it as declared manufactured 1937.

There are various invoices on file, the more recent including four new tyres in 2018 since when it has covered few fine weather miles.
