Vehicle Details
AI Listing Summary
This 1952 MG YB boasts a rich history, meticulously documented since its original sale to Lt Col HW Styles. Featuring a factory rebuild in 1961 and continuous maintenance, including unleaded valve inserts and rechromed bumpers, it presents a blend of originality and care, though it was put away for a few years, to be bought out and recommissioned in July this year.
Condition

The car has been well-maintained and used extensively, with a comprehensive maintenance history. While it has received some remedial bodywork and rechroming, it also shows gentle patination and evidence of use over the years. The car has been recommissioned recently, suggesting it required some work to bring it back to running condition after a period of storage.

Many parts were rechromed and large parts of the trim and wiring replaced.
A letter on file from Lt Col Styles' daughter confirms he passed away in 1965, after which the car was given to the family gardener/chauffeur.
He had no use for it and sold it to a friend of his who kept the car for many y...
