Premiered at the 2009 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, the Bentley Mulsanne revived a famous name from its maker's recent past on its introduction in 2010.
The twin-turbocharged pushrod V8 engine's traditional 6.75 litres capacity suggested that it was a straightforward carry-over from previous models, but in fact it was an extensively revised design incorporating a new cylinder block.
One of the mightiest of passenger car power units, Bentley's 6.75-litre V8 produced its maximum of 505bhp at 4,200rpm, with a staggering 752lb/ft of toque available at a lowly 1,750 revs.
