When production ceased in November 1970, only 245 DB6 Mark 2s had been manufactured, 71 of which were to Vantage specification.

There are no factory records surviving for the later DB6 Mark 2 cars unfortunately, though the AMOC Register records that this left-hand drive Vantage was in France in 1978.

This DB6 is believed to have been delivered new in France and first registered the 14 May 1970, as evidenced by the yellow headlights and the date of first registration on the French registration document.

The current owner purchased the Aston in October 2007 from Royal Automobile in La Baule, France, specialists in British motor cars.
