The car was found partially dismantled in a barn and underwent a seven-year restoration by Horch Classic. The aim was to retain original components, evidenced by the radiator, horn, carburetor, and exhaust manifold. The chassis was cleaned and checked for corrosion, with damaged parts replaced. The timber frame was preserved where possible, with rotten sections replaced by seasoned ash or oak. Body panels were restored, and almost all original panels were reused, with only the bonnets and running boards replaced. The body was repainted, and the interior was re-trimmed. Mechanical parts were dismantled, measured, and overhauled, with safety-critical components renewed. The engine was completely dismantled, parts measured, and new components fitted. A Getrag five-speed gearbox was chosen. The car received the 'Best Restoration' award at Classic Days, Schloss Dyck, Germany in 2013.
