AI Listing Summary

This 1926 Bugatti Type 37 Grand Prix, chassis number 37136, has a rich history including racing in North Africa. It underwent a restoration in the 1950s and 1960s and received a new engine in 2014 from Ivan Dutton. While mechanically sound with a new gear set, the car includes reproduction parts, impacting its estimated value which has been re-estimated to €250,000-300,000.

Condition

The car is described as being in superb mechanical condition with only 800km on the new engine. Cosmetically, the bodywork has a 'wonderful patina of age' suggesting that while it may not be perfect, it is well-preserved for its age. However, the saleroom notes indicate that some parts are reproductions, which affects the overall originality and potentially the value.
