This stunner was originally a 1965 Chevrolet Corvette convertible, then was customized as a Grand Sport re-creation with meticulous attention to replicating the original.
Only the original body and dash were used in the conversion; all other parts are new.
A copy of the original mandrel-built tube frame using an exact jig was used to form the frame platform for this car.
A modern aluminum Corvette suspension, Currie Ford 9-inch rear end with 4-link suspension and independent axles, 3.90 ratio gearing and new Wilwood disc brakes round out the foundation.
It is powered by a completely new 502ci crate engine rated at 502hp and 567 ft/lbs of torque.
The engine includes JE pistons, aluminum heads, a 850cfm Holley carburetor and aluminum manifold, McLeod aluminum flywheel, RST double-disc clutch, hydraulic throw-out bearing and a TREMEC 6-speed manual transmission.
The exhaust runs through a set of Sanderson headers and out through a set of Corvette side pipes.
