Sunbeam was a marque synonymous with innovation and prestige during the 1920s—a decade that saw the company claim victories in the French and Spanish Grands Prix, finish second at Le Mans, and set multiple Land Speed Records, achievements that even drew admiration (and concern) from Henry Royce himself.
Recorded on the buff logbook as a '20/60' and rated as '20.9hp' and in 'maroon', the body may well be by Plaxton of Scarborough, it certainly appears to be similar, however, we have not been able to confirm it is by the Scarborough coachbuilder.
We believe 'KA 5371's' first owner was a Malcolm Rollo Esq.
from 1926 to 1964, for some 38 years!.
'KA 5371' still wears the black over maroon with a complementing maroon leather interior today, similar to its appearance when Mr Rollo owned the car.
In current ownership since 2022, just 4 previous keepers are recorded on the V5 and in the buff logbook (on file) and confirmed by the HPI report.
