This is a genuine JPS Capri that was fully restored in 2009 by Stuart Bailey, as featured in May 2011 Practical Classics magazine.
This car was well known, having stood for many years in a local body shop awaiting restoration before being purchased by Stuart Bailey in 2006.
Three years of restoration to the bodywork and an engine rebuild followed, with the car also receiving a 5-speed gear box.
The car still has the 4-speed gear knob for authenticity as the aim of the restoration was to keep the car as original as possible.
Also, following considerable research, the original material for the seat refurbishment was found in Holland and the seats were sent away to be refurbished.
Since the restoration in 2009, the car has only covered 1,300 miles, although it has been run and driven regularly over that period.
The car benefits from non-standard Twin Forties Webber Carbs, which really do enhance the car, but for the purists the original Carbs and air box is included in the sale.
