The Riley Falcon was a stylish four seater.

Sitting proudly at the front was the Riley badge, which housed the axiom of "As old as the industry, as modern as the hour," perched on the traditional honeycomb grille ahead of the louverd bonnet.

Individual and very sporty, the car's lines reflected its true concept, and this was enhanced by the design and characteristic of its engine.

Rigidity, smoothness and the easy extraction of great amounts of power were uppermost in Percy Riley's mind when he designed this engine and its longevity both as a production engine and a power plant for competition cars were to be his enduring accomplishment.

The 12 hp, 34 bhp 1.5-litre engine was an enlarged version of the Riley Nine, with a capacity 1496cc.

The engine was a four cylinder with overhead valves operated from twin camshafts mounted high in the block.
