It was bought new by a Mr. Demichel of Ruynes-en-Margeride (Cantal), and sold on 21st April 1992 (with 36,274 km), through the garage de la Margeride, to the current owner's father.
On this occasion, he had a Sodicam alarm system installed and, as he had a company car as part of his job at the Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azur regional council, he seldom drove this Renault 5 GT Turbo. On 14th March 2023, as part of his estate, it passed into the hands of his son.
He had it completely overhauled, including draining and checking the cooling system. Thanks to this wonderful story, this Renault 5 GT Turbo is in rare original condition.
