1975 Citroën Méhari
France • 27 Oct 2024
Vehicle Details
AI Listing Summary
This 1974 Citroen Mehari has been extensively restored, featuring new bodywork, a repainted chassis, and a rebuilt engine. While the car presents beautifully, it requires a major service and technical inspection before road use, and the registration needs updating to reflect its 4-seat configuration.

Condition
7
The car has undergone a major restoration, including new bodywork, repainted chassis, redone upholstery, and restored engine with new liners and pistons. New tires and fuel tank have been fitted. However, it's noted that the car has barely been used in recent years and is sold as is, without a technical inspection, needing a major service before being driven. There's also a need to amend the registration document regarding the number of seats.

It had a major restoration done by the museum team and completed in February 2024.
The chassis was repainted and a new bodywork was reassembled on it.
The upholstery was redone and the car has its hood hoops, its hood and lateral protections.
The engine, type AM2 and mounted on the Dyane 6, was restored and included the replacement of liners and pistons.

The original electrical system has been kept but a circuit breaker has been fitted under the dashboard.
This Mehari comes with 4 seats and it will therefore be necessary to amend the registration document which only mentions 2.
