In the 1990s, AMG-modified V12-powered Mercedes SL 600s were released in small numbers, with many going to Japan where they were particularly popular.

This is undoubtedly the case with this SL 70, whose career then continued in the Czech Republic, where it was purchased in September 2012 by our collector.

After checking its engine number with Mercedes Geneva, it would appear that, instead of the 7L V12 of the SL 70, this car is equipped with the 7.2L of the SL 72 (even more powerful with its 532 bhp), which led the owner to modify the rear boot badge.

Next to the chassis plate, an AMG plate specifies the type of special spark plugs used, in the three brands Bosch, Beru and Champion.
