Apparue en octobre 1964 en version 1100 cm3, la " Gord " va réveiller le paysage automobile français.
En 1966, elle voit sa cylindrée passer à 1300 cm3 et elle gagne une calandre à quatre phares, qui va la faire passer définitivement dans le clan des sportives.
Avec ses deux carburateurs Weber double corps, le petit 1300 cm3 développe 88 ch DIN et emmène la petite voiture bleue à plus de 170 km/h en pointe.
