La voiture était en état d'usage avancé malgré un début de restauration et, après bon nombre de démarches administratives, l'exportation vers Stockholm a pu se faire et le propriétaire s'est lancé dans une restauration, n'hésitant pas à apporter diverses modifications quand il considérait qu'elles amélioraient le fonctionnement, comme le passage du circuit électrique de 6 à 12 volts.
Il a cédé la voiture en 1989 à un concessionnaire automobile d'Uppsala, Bil-O-Matic, qui a parcouru quelque 1 000 km en neuf ans.
La Sahara a été ensuite achetée par le plus ancien concessionnaire automobile de Suède, Örebro Automobil Affär AB, ouvert en 1928.
