This 1967 Ford Cortina MkII GT has been prepared to historic rally spec, intended by the owner to give cancer sufferers a track day experience.

Unfortunately, the premature death of the owner halted the project.

The car was registered in January 1967 and is showing 90,534 miles on its odometer, although this isn't warranted.

However, since 2016 it has only travelled around 1300 miles and, despite the modifications, hasn't been raced while in the past owner's custodianship (since April 2021).

Having been unused since July 2022, the vendor suggests that a fuel change would be in order before the car is run properly again.

The upgrades carried out include a Safety Devices roll cage with door bars, double diagonal and harness bar.

There are bronze polycarb windows and a laminated screen.

The engine is a 1600 Crossflow bored out to 1.7 litres, lightened and balanced with a big valve head, high-lift Kent 244 camshaft, twin 45 Webers with an ITG air filter.
