It retained the DS’s avant-garde styling and renowned comfort thanks to its hydropneumatic suspension, but featured simplified mechanics and less luxurious fittings in order to keep the price down. Fitted with a 1.9-litre engine derived from the Traction Avant, it quickly won over families and business users.
Regularly improved throughout the 1960s, it became one of Citroën’s great successes before being replaced in the mid-1970s by the CX. The example on offer has the advantage of a very attractive colour combination!
