AI Listing Summary

This right-hand drive Décapotable, believed to be one of the first, has had four owners since 1962, with the current vendor owning it since 2005. It underwent an extensive body-off restoration in 2009 with over £25,000 spent, but the leather seats are worn, and the gearbox has issues, which will affect the final sale price.

Condition

The car was extensively restored in 2009, including bodywork and engine rebuild. However, the leather seats are worn and the gearbox sometimes jumps out of 1st gear, suggesting some areas need attention despite the restoration. Upgrades like electronic ignition and seatbelts add value, but the need for seat refurbishment and gearbox maintenance holds it back from a higher rating.

Our vendor purchased the car in April 2005 and has used it for various local rallies and a couple of French events including last year's Tour de Bretagne .
