Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith – 1948

Belgian registration title
Sold without contrôle technique

The Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith, produced from 1946 to 1958, was the first model manufactured after the war.

Built in Crewe, UK, it was sold only as a bare chassis.

Customers then chose an independent coachbuilder such as Park Ward, H.J.

Mulliner or
Hooper to design the bodywork.

This model therefore gave rise to a wide variety of unique, often very luxurious versions.

The Silver Wraith was powered by a 4.3-litre inline 6-cylinder engine, which was increased to 4.9 litres in 1951.

Equipped with a 4-speed manual gearbox, an automatic transmission was available as an option from 1952.

A luxurious and prestigious car, its hydraulic suspension offered exceptional comfort for the time.

Rolling off the assembly line in Crewe on 16 October 1947, our chassis was sent to James Young Ltd in London to be fitted with its bodywork.

Once completed, it was delivered on 15 September 1948 to the import...
