SANS RÉSERVE

Launched immediately after the end of the war, the RMA should have been introduced in the early 1940s, but its production was postponed and perfected during the war.

The RMA used the excellent 1934 Riley 12/4 1.5-litre engine, mounted on a development of the pre-war 16/4 chassis and with bodywork derived from the pre-war Continental model.
The RMB was launched several months after the RMA, in early 1946, although sales were slow to take off as materials were still in short supply.

Distinguishable from the RMA by its longer bonnet and pale blue Riley badge, the RMB was identical to the RMA but fitted with the excellent pre-war 2.5-litre Big Four engine, whose power output rose to 100 bhp in 1948.

With this power, the car had a top speed of nearly 160 km/h.

Despite this, Riley only sold 6,900 units in six years.
