A true rally icon and emblematic car of the Group B, the 205 Turbo 16 won the world championship in 1985 and 1986 before shining in rally-raids, notably the Paris-Dakar.
In 1985, the Bulgarian company Balkancar, which specialised in the manufacture of forklift trucks, wanted to acquire a 205 T16 for racing.
At that time, the Evo 1s were no longer available and the Evo 2s were reserved for the Peugeot Talbot
Sport factory team.
The Sochaux-based manufacturer then offered to sell them a 200 series road car transformed into an Evo 1 by Bouhier Engineering, which was then in charge of building the Evo 2s.
