Every Model
London Taxi International, later LTI, evolved from Mann & Overton, a London taxi dealership since the early 20th century.
In 1948, they partnered with Austin to produce the iconic FX3 taxi. The FX4, launched in 1958, became a symbol of London.
LTI was formed in 1987.
A little-known fact: the distinctive shape was partly dictated by a legal requirement. Taxis had to have a turning circle of 25 feet, enabling them to navigate the tight corners of the Savoy Hotel's entrance.
