FORD COURIER

The Ford Courier was a series of vehicles produced by Ford, spanning from the 1950s to the 2010s. Originally a sedan delivery, it later became known as a pickup truck.

In North America, the Courier was introduced in 1972 as a Mazda-built compact pickup, marking Ford's initial foray into that segment. It was a response to the growing popularity of small, fuel-efficient trucks.

The Courier name was also used on various other Ford models globally, including vans and utilities in Europe, South America, and Australia.

The Ford Transit Connect replaced the Courier in some markets.

A little-known fact: Ford initially considered calling the Courier the "Ford Ranchero Jr." This highlights Ford's intention to position it as a smaller, more economical alternative to the Ranchero.
