Brough Superior, a British motorcycle manufacturer, was founded in 1919 by George Brough in Nottingham.
The marque became renowned for high-performance, quality motorcycles, often dubbed the "Rolls-Royce of Motorcycles."
Brough, himself a successful racer, ensured the bikes were visually appealing and fast.
T.E. Lawrence ("Lawrence of Arabia") owned several Brough Superiors and died riding one in 1935.
Production ceased in 1940 due to World War II.
Did you know Brough Superior didn't actually manufacture all its components? They sourced the best available parts, like J.A. Prestwich engines, and assembled them to exacting standards. This "best of breed" approach contributed to their reputation for quality and performance.
