The AC Greyhound, produced from 1959 to 1963, was a departure from AC's sports car focus, aiming for a more comfortable grand tourer.
It featured a larger chassis and a detuned version of AC's straight-six engine.
The Greyhound was not directly replaced, though AC continued with other models.
A lesser-known story: AC initially intended the Greyhound to appeal to a broader market, including families. They even considered a four-door version, but it never materialized due to cost and complexity.
