Tell Me More
The Iso Lele, produced from 1969 to 1976, was named after Lele Rivolta, the wife of Piero Rivolta. It was intended as a replacement for the Rivolta GT.
The Lele used American V8 engines, initially from Chevrolet and later Ford, coupled with a ZF gearbox. Its design came from Marcello Gandini at Bertone.
The Lele was succeeded by the Iso Rivolta IR7, though it never reached production.
A lesser-known story involves a Lele being delivered to a Swiss customer who insisted it be painted the exact shade of his dog's fur. Iso obliged, creating a truly unique Lele.
