FORD BRONCO PICKUP

Ford never produced a Bronco Pickup. The Ford Bronco was a sport utility vehicle.

The Bronco was introduced in 1965 as a compact off-road vehicle. It was designed to compete with the Jeep CJ-5 and International Harvester Scout. The Bronco was available in three body styles: a roadster, a pickup truck, and a wagon. The roadster was discontinued in 1968, and the pickup truck was discontinued in 1972. The Bronco was redesigned in 1978 as a full-size SUV, based on the F-Series pickup truck. The Bronco was discontinued in 1996.

The Ford Bronco was reintroduced in 2021.

Did you know that the original Bronco was almost called the "G.O.A.T."? Ford executives wanted a catchy name, and G.O.A.T., standing for "Goes Over All Terrain," was a contender. Ultimately, they chose Bronco, but the G.O.A.T. nickname stuck internally and was even used during the development of the 2021 model.
