The lightweight, six-cylinder BMW 328 proved to be a formidable force in international motor racing during the late 1930s, and has since become a highly coveted choice of pre-war sports car.

One of these cars belonged to the late Peter Mann, the respected racer and collector, who gave permission to Tony Ditheridge of Hawker Racing to copy of his car for a project commissioned by a fellow American collector and racer.

The project began in 2013 with a genuine BWM 316 which provided the basis for this car.
