AI Listing Summary

This 1996 Bentley Brooklands Turbo, a Wildberry Metallic V8 with a Cream leather interior, is being sold as a project with no reserve. While it boasts a comprehensive service history from Bentley specialists and a recent clear MoT, it currently suffers from significant paint issues, rust, and mechanical problems including a misfiring engine.

Condition

The car has significant cosmetic issues including peeling lacquer paint, faded paint, rust on wheel arches, a large scrape on the rear door, and perished seals. The alloy wheels are heavily scuffed and require refurbishment. Mechanically, the V8 engine struggles to start and has a misfire, with a check engine light displayed. The front suspension appears low, and rubber bushes need replacing. While it has a history of specialist maintenance and a recent advisory-free MoT, the current mechanical issues and extensive bodywork needed place it in the 'Below Average' category.

You see, the seller’s father had always wanted a Bentley and in 2006 he decided to make his dream come true – and he didn’t let the small matter of having just celebrated his 80th birthday deter him.

He enjoyed driving his prized Brooklands Turbo for a few years, even as far as Stamford on one occasion, to have tea with the Queen at Burghley House, no less.

Age started to take its toll, and he ...
