This is a very rare right hand drive Type 2 Bay Window example with the desirable early features including the low lights (headlights and indicators below the grille) and smaller tail lights, the latter were soon upgraded to the larger rear lights.

The VW production certificate on file confirms that the vehicle was originally supplied to the South African market and unlike most was relatively well cared for as upon its arrival into the UK in 2017 it was found to be original, complete and running albeit in need of some work to make it lovely.

To this end the VW was sent to Export 56, highly respected restorers of early Porsche s who also have a penchant for these early VW Utility models.
