On the Surface: This is a 1935 Austin Seven Pearl Cabriolet, a cabriolet version of the ARQ Ruby.
The Austin Seven series revolutionised family motoring in the 1920s and 1930s, making motoring accessible to the masses.
In the mid to late ’30s, the early spindly cars evolved into a more mature, fuller-bodied design, in models with names like Ruby, Opal, and Pearl like this one.
This particular Pearl Cabriolet is a rare gem, with only 10,000 Austin Seven’s as whole known to exist over the world surely the Pearl Cabriolet is now a very rare breed.
Maintenance:
Originally restored to a high standard in 2000, this Austin Seven Pearl Cabriolet now requires some additional restortaion work to bring it back to its former glory.
