Developed originally in Italy in 1972 as a compact city car to replace the Fiat 500, the 126 retained the rear-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout and air-cooled, two-cylinder engine.
While Italian production of the base model ended in 1980, it was produced in Poland until 2000.
Owned by Diana Athey from 1993 until being purchased by our vendor in 1994, he started a restoration but never completed it.
