Description
During the dark days of ‘lockdown’ in 2020, our intrepid European client, a gentleman of mature years and great taste, decided to contact the UK-based Alfaholics team to establish the likely lead time of one of their amazing GTA-R, 105-Series individual creations.
Having established this could take a number of years, he decided to embark on a different route and managed to source in Germany an excellent, partly restored but unfinished 1965 ‘step-front’ Giulia Sprint GT as a donor car for € 40,500.
He then commissioned highly-respected Alfa specialist, Bas Aalberts of ‘BAS Auto Service’ of Lichtenvoorde in the Netherlands, to set about completely stripping and rebuilding the car to his ultimate road-going specification, very much in the style of Alfaholics’ much admired R-Type, but with a number of bespoke modifications to suit his personal requirements.
